To bring a future spouse to the USA, a U.S. citizen must first file a K-1 Visa petition in the United States with the Department of Homeland Security. Once the petition is approved, the petition is then forwarded to the United States Consulate in the country where the
foreign fiancee
resides. The U.S. Consulate will then contact the foreign fiancee and set up an interview date shortly thereafter. K1 Visas.
Prior to the interview, the foreign fiancee will be required to have a medical exam. In most cases, the medical exam can be scheduled a couple of days ahead of the interview. The fiancee attends the interview, and a visa will be issued within 1-3 days, depending on the specific country.
After receiving the K1 visa, the foreign fiancee has up to six months to exercise the use the visa to travel to the USA. American Assistance Service Tel: 360-901-4555 Email: info@fianceevisas.net

Once the foreign fiancee arrives in the USA, he/she must marry the U.S. Citizen within 90 days or they will be required to return to their country of origin.
After you marry, you must then file for the I-485 adjustment of status.
After filing for the adjustment of status, your fiancee will be allowed to work usually within 90 days.
Permanent residency can take between 1-2 years. If for some reason the relationship fails
before permanent residency is
granted, there will be no
other options for
adjustment of status and the K1
spouse in most cases will be required to leave the
USA.
K1 fiancee visa holders are in
valid status for only 90
days after U.S. entry, and may not extend
their status.

If your foreign fiancee has children under 21 years of age, and will not turn 21 years old prior to the K1 visa interview, they can be included on the same visa petition with their parent and obtain a K-2 visa. The K-2 visa will allow the children to accompany their parent to the USA.
Travel Outside the USA After Marriage
Your spouse can apply for permission to travel outside of the USA at the very same time as you file for the adjustment of status. This is called Advanced Parole. Advanced parole can usually be obtained in 90 days after you file.
Note: Your spouse must obtain advance parole before any travel outside of the USA, or he/she will not be allowed re-entry. In that event, you would then have to file a spousal visa petition in order to allow your spouse to return to the United States.
